Capability

What VIO does

Your WHOOP has no screen. It measures your heart rate around the clock and sends all of it to your phone, which is what you want for the rest of the day.

While you run, that leaves you without the two numbers that steer the session: your heart rate, and the pace you are actually holding. VIO shows both. It reads the heart rate your WHOOP broadcasts and marks the zone you are in. With its own GPS receiver it tracks your pace and route.

VIO on a WHOOP band. The screen shows a heart rate of 98 bpm with the curve of the session below it.
  • Heart rate and paceBoth on one screen, either one as the large number.
  • Heart rate zoneThe zone you are in, next to your heart rate.
  • Hold a paceSet a range and the vibrations tell you if you are inside it.
  • Hold a heart rateAn upper and a lower limit that you set yourself.

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Consumers in the European Union also have the statutory two-year guarantee of conformity.

I love my WHOOP, but having a second watch bothered me always, so I ran without knowing my pace or heart rate. Now with VIO I have a seamless device and the data in one place.

FAQ

Questions

Where does the heart rate come from?

From your WHOOP. VIO has no sensor of its own against your skin. It only shows what your band already measures.

Do I need my phone while running?

No. Pace, distance and recording happen on the device. You need a phone or a computer afterwards, for setup and for uploading.

Where do my runs end up?

After your run is finished, connect your phone and upload it to Strava. If set up correctly, all the data shows up in your WHOOP app.

How long does the battery last?

12 hours of recording time on a full charge.

Is it waterproof?

Yes, VIO is waterproof, IP68.

Why not just wear a running watch?

If you want a running watch, buy a running watch. It does more and you can have it today. VIO is for people who want to keep the heart rate source they already wear and still see two numbers, without a second watch.
